Is there a way for me to send my Company SnapShot to an investor who is not a Fundability member?
Your Company Snapshot includes a public weblink (sent to you at enrollment) which can be shared with any investor, inside or outside of the network. We strongly suggest using this as your online executive summary when communicating with investors. Anyplace that you can reference this weblink (ie powerpoints, business cards) improves the chances that an investor will understand your business model, want to learn more and make contact with you directly.
Why is there a 2-minute limit on video elevator pitches?
2-minutes is our recommended length for creating an effective pitch where investors will learn enough, so that they want to learn more while making sure that you don’t loose their attention span along the way.
How does Fundability protect my information?
Fundability is committed to maintaining the confidentiality and security of any information about our registered members – companies, investors and investor groups. We provide security for all account information and give all members the account administration tools to manage access to their confidential information by other members of the Fundability network.
Who can see my company information?
It’s up to you who sees your Company SnapShot or how much information you share. You can choose to restrict access to only certain investors; you can send your Company SnapShot link directly to an investor; or maybe add it to your PowerPoint slide or even better your business card! For sensitive company documents, we recommend that you take advantage of your own secure Fundability DiligenceRoom. This is an online document storage environment that you set up - naming folders and creating access permissions for individual investors or investor groups who are interested in your deal.
How do I know that investors on Fundability are qualified?
We require that investors who register for membership with Fundability must complete an Investor Questionnaire (also known as the SEC Questionnaire). The applicant is required to attest whether he or she is an accredited investor as defined by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Is there a way that I can prevent investors from seeing my Company’s proprietary information?
The DiligenceRoom™ is the ideal location for storing proprietary information. Because you have complete control of not only who gets into your DiligenceRoom™ but also what files each investor can see is determined by the rules you set. Compare this to the historical process of e-mailing this sensitive information around and you’ll quickly find the DiligenceRoom™ becomes one of your greatest fundraising asset.
Why can I only contact investors who have expressed an interest in my company?
Our investor members are able to set their own level of access, similar to your DiligenceRoom™ settings. That means if an investor does not desire to be contacted directly by our startup members, we provide them the security and flexibility to make that decision. That said, you can send your Company Snapshot to any investor outside of our network, which is a powerful tool for you to attract new investors!
Is there a way to find out who has viewed our Company’s SnapShot?
You are able to see which investors have added your company to their 'Deal Watch' list. Full blown analytics on everyone who is viewing your Snapshot is coming soon!
